So I did the first part of that Sweden trip in the last portrait post. It was sunny and bright. Just like we had the chance to live a second spring with blossoms and all:

There is no theme for April’s portraits, it’s just about a very very nice time in Sweden in some of my favourite areas and recreating some photos I have made there over the years! Plus the cherry on the cake? We found a house near that super beautiful beach of Sandhammaren. I feel so lucky!

In March, we decided to do a photo that was on point with the world situation… it was a good occasion to talk about it with the kids too! It wasn’t an inspired by a movie one but definitely inspired by a real photo (Im guessing you know which one) 40 years later, we are still sending the same messages…

I know I said that I would not do any individual portraits this year but February was a complicated month: Eliott was swamped with exams and Lily has been ill… but I found a great idea on Pinterest for Lily, did the flowers on her head and she loved it so much we had a great shoot. And I took Eliott during his revision time…

We started 2021 with a Wes Anderson movie portrait, I thought it appropriate to start 2022 with one too. I don’t know if you followed my stories and polls on instagram but this year will be a bit of a mix of everything: movie inspired, candid moments, single portraits… but I think everyone (including my kids) loved the movie theme so whenever we are inspired (and have the time). Movies it will be. Do you recognise this one? :

Last but not least, portrait of the year (December is our usual holiday card). Another easy one, very fitting for this time and I couldn’t resist in putting up my mirror cover to take these pictures. I also took the brighter version of it. It was also a good occasion to take portraits of the cats (stroll along and you will see them :)) Can you guess the movie?

As you know I’m running late so multiple posts incoming in just a few days. This one, for those who have seen the movie, is very easy! we all loved this movie when we saw it with Eliott and as time was running, I had a little 15 minutes to recreate it (not really the same but the light is better by the bathtub in our bathroom ;)):

Getting there with this year’s portraits, never been so delayed… I have editing backlog like never before ;) so here are the September portraits. Based on an interesting film but I didn’t choose the closest one as header but you also have to see how it goes these days with the cats and the very little time I have :

Last but not least of our summer 2021 edition in photography: Sweden but also a couple of really funky photoshoots. You have seen in part two one in our amazing front yard. There will be one with the sunset featuring yours truly and one with a cool umbrella. But also another really cool place we visited during that time and our last stay in Malmö before we left:

This one is an easy movie to guess, right? I’ll show you later. This was taken in the house we rented I mentioned in the previous post… And it wasn’t as easy to take as I thought!

As I hinted in part 1, we rented a house near Hoganäs, in a part of Skane I hadn’t really spent much time before. The house was amazing and the region was so much worth a stay:

This one was actually inspired by a Tv series scene not a movie. And this post will also be about one very special place in my heart that we visited again in the summer!:

This second holiday post isn’t actually so much about Vendée but about one of the nicest shoot I did this summer with Lily. Best sunset, on the sea, nicest daughter, all the great combos! I have posted already some sneak peaks on instagram. But now I’m throwing all the rest here:

I’m super late with this project but here it is…. do you recognise this movie? I thought it was a really good one. That scene is maybe not the most specific one of the whole story but it was very good photographically speaking :) I’ll give you a black and white one first and then I’ll show you my version with the original!

always love to journal my summer holidays here because it’s always nice to look back but also pushes me to take my camera more without any projects behind my head. It all started with some time in Morvan as usual, this time only with Lily and my niece and nephew. As I showed you this place many times , I will only make a gallery this time so you can just appreciate the colours and atmosphere of this pretty rainy week.

Portraits of my kids with movie inspiration: April! (catching up …). This movie (it’s a music video actually) you probably won’t recognise… to be honest I didn’t at first. This is a photo I got inspired from when I was doing research on Pinterest. And then I found the video I was sure I was going to love as it’s DJ Shadow and directed by Wong Kar Wai (same director as for the February portraits), it’s really good even though a little dark compared to my own take:
