We spent four days in Österlen this year. It's a place we went to before, I wrote about it already on the blog. You can actually compare how I edited the pictures then and now, that's very interesting (to me at least , haha). We rented the coolest airbnb chosen by yours truly and my son. I really love that little bit of Sweden that is so different from the rest. If you are interested, here are some tips and pics of our stay:

This time we stayed near a town called Simrishamn. Our airbnb was just so cool, if you are in the area, you have to stay there (will give you a quick look and address at the end of the post. The pictures above was by the closest beach from our place. It had almost black sand. Which is the opposite to most places on that part of the coast:What you will most likely see is more like this:And nope, this isn't Thailand. The water is freezing. But the sand is definitely as soft! This one is part of the a protected parc of the area called Stenshuvud national park. A very beautiful place to go to. There is a forest and a hill. Lots of hiking trails. And this beach. I'm sure it must be amazing in the autumn too:And we particularly love the other beach in the area that also has an old viking village called Knäbäckshusen that we also went to last year:We also went to Kivik again. This place is really pretty and is surrounded by I'm sure the biggest number of apple trees in the country. Hence, the Kivik apple juice that is so delicious! But it's also famous for its pretty cottages There are plenty of cute villages with really special churches around. I had to stop and take pics at some point:And finally one of my crush for this area is definitely Sandhammaren. Amazing beach! And as we are always there end of August when all the swedes are back to school, we always have it half empty! Being in Österlen around that time has the disadvantage of having half the restaurants and nice places closed half the week but at least you get an amazing beach for yourself almost: And it was definitely warmer than the last time we were there! And now for the place we renter, which I highly recommend, it's an airbnb, perfect for a family of four or a couple and two friends, or four friends or... you get my idea! It's an old farm truck garages that was converted and it's surrounded by fields (with view on the sea on one side). You can find it here ( I almost don't want to give you the tip but I'm nice like that !):I have had lots of really cool adresses for restos so I can share a couple with you too, if you ever go there drop me a mail I can give you more but meanwhile:-Apotekarns in Simrishams makes mean pizzas, really delicious (and has a great deco shop)-Orum119 is a really nice hotel and has also a pizza restaurant-KIN bageri is a cute café with organic food tooAnd of course, some outtakes!I hope you enjoyed it even if it was long. Let me know if you want any more tips on the area.
